Preferences

Here are several fields to set the program to your needs

Text Action

Here you can enter the default program you want to view/edit for text documents. Check what's available on your system, for example leafpad. There are many others that work: gedit, kate, kwrite, mousepad, scite, tea. Default is empty. When the field is empty than double click will fail (do nothing).

Photo Action

Here you can enter the default program you want to view/edit for photo's. Check what's available on your system, for example Gimp. There are many others that work equally well: geeqie, gthumb, gwenview, digikam, kphotoalbum, shotwell, krita, darktable. Default is empty. When the field is empty than double click will fail (do nothing).

Base directory

When the program starts it uses this directory for the folder view.

Index Cache

Default is: ~/cache/searchphotos

Note searchphotos need a chache.

Set Default (button)

This will erase all the above values and load default values. Nice to have when things got completely messed up.
